I was watching a PBS program about the space program. The program was focusing on Neil Armstrong. There was one shot of all the people and their vehicles waiting to see the moon launch in July 1969. One segment showed a number of VW buses. Being 1969, they were all splitties. I hope you bus guys can find it. It's in the second half.

The same footage was used a couple years ago for the moon launch anniversary, I've seen it on Youtube somewhere as well, miles and miles of then brand new Westfalias and buses as well as some older ones.
