Hope you hit that June date! Just get it running...
I've spent alot of time ferreting out good sources in our area. There's a great powder coater in Sandy. I have a great source for Bosch Auto electrics by the airport. He will rebuild your starter or generator if you want to keep it original. Halsey and Discount Imports are good for many parts. And if you want your Trans rebuilt, Gary's transaxle up in Kent WA is an absolute master craftsman. Tim at Volkzbitz is a great next step if you're not happy with your rebuild. Good Luck! _________________ Greg

Quick, but important bus update as I have been wildly slow on getting my bus back on the road. My very happy 14 year old captured the first drive of the bus since I last drove this bus as an 18 year old in 1988. We did a late night push, hence the crappy night time video.

To qualify for very local short trips around town, still needs charging system sorted out, all windows installed, rear bumper, registration and insurance. A lot more is on the list, but that's the bare minimum to be a legal driver. _________________ 16 9

I just read the whole thread, what an amazing cool bus and history! You made a very wise decision back then to store that bus instead of getting rid of it. That OG paint came up beautifully and it's nice to see it driving again with the engine that was in the bus when you got it. It seems to pull great on the video. |
