Front Trunk Lid Seal

I am having great trouble getting a good fit for my front trunk lid when installing a new seal.
I have researched the forum and seen the numerous posts about the "fat", "thin" and German quality seals. I have tried three seals to date, of various types and still cannot get a good fit. Despite making numerous adjustments to the hinges and latch etc.
Has anyone had success with using an alternative and simpler seal material and or profile?

Have you tried the seal from Rudiger Huber?

Contoured and soft, lowers the decklid to fit flush with the body.

Have you tried the Vewib seal? It's about the best one. This is what Rudger sells, which is what Chris mentioned earlier.
How are you mounting the one's you've tried?
