| I was fortunate to have purchased a German Folks members beetle I love the damn car. It sits low it,s fast enough for me.very very reliable . I happen to live in the Joliet area which is considered the hotrod kingdom and the car draws a good amount of attention at the shows. the only thing I have to keep explaining is why are the rear tires riding on an angle? well, it,s easier just to say my wife is a big-un and the shocks are gone |

| i think q did the right thing. for god sakes, this dude over in germany or where ever the fuck he was from comes in and starts running his mouth about purity and all this other bullshit, all i have to say to that it is, if you wanted it to be a "purist" split then you should of bought it. people need to stop barking at people for doing their cars the way they feel is right for them. good job trayle! speak your mind brother. |

It's a rack holder now, that's about all the action it get's.
I rolled it out a cleaned it up a bit a few weeks ago cause I had some VW folks coming by so I figured I make it look better. That's when I took that picture.

Here I am an Europeen guy (French actually) to add my comment to Quintin's 50 L76 color Split...
Even I'm different because from the Old continent :wink: we are very opened mind and can admire since it is done with respect and very high quality detailing... this is the case for Quintin's split.... :P
Side by side in my garage : Ghia 60 coupé US export/import :wink: vintage !!! (for my wife who prefer stock things like me :( ) and Ghia 57 Lowlight coupé German totally rebuilt (was a wreck) oldspeed style L76 color :wink: .. :wink: "oldspeed" because again my wife who's love my ..... speed :wink: |
