If I bought a replica, I wouldnt care if it had a 60s dash in it. But for that price id want a split bug dash ...

I believe the reason for this is the cars are listed in Volkswagen chassis date order, not in Hebmüller / Karmann build date order. It's a bit confusing. And now there are a Zwitter "Heb" and one or two "Oval" "Hebs" found.

I asked around a year or two ago but I was told there is no more kits available. To my knowledge they stopped making them. I’m not totally sure.

reminds me of "something about mary" the guy with the 7 minute abs. Maybe somebody invented the $80,000 Heb and put them out of business?
