We stopped by but spent the time eating doughnuts and replacing a part on my bus, let our dogs shit in his yard-that sort of stuff. When I come back through in the beg of Aug Ill maybe stay there longer as well as swing over to CoosBay to scope some parts.

I havent been buggin Tram about the car since Im getting my moneys worth out of him. I cant complain. We do have a plan and there is stuff being done-thats all Im leaking for now. 8)

Ill be doing the same wide five to this car as well. If were making a sporty, vert T34-it needs to stop well.

I don't see any megasquirt!

Bob, where did you get the brakes? Franklin?

Ah don't be jealous Tram, there is always going to be something better then stock, like the wide 5 disc brakes Bob is putting on his ghia ;)

That Benz has nothing to do with VWs, ya big goofball! But yeah, it's almost done. Back on Jason's bullshit project from Hades next.

I drink beer, but there is never enough to ease my pain...

Bob's keep on keepin' on with Wolfie is a big inspiration to all of us.

I drink beer too, but it doesn't kill the pain, It happened to me while I was younger. I've kinda learned to live with it. ](*,)

I do have some motivation, as I want to take it to Colorado in 2012. 8)

Yeah I got hurt real bad when I was young too. She took my heart and stomped on it. Its part of what gives me my cheery disposition today. But I didnt let her continue to hurt me guys. You have to just buck down and carry on with life. New love will find its way to you.

Now I drink beer to help bring out the inner Jason hiding in me

Yeah, I think we all got our hearts ripped out and stomped on. That broad back in 1977 made me the hearless bastid I am today. Plus she drove me to drink, and I still love her for that! :D Wait... That was W.C. Fields.

Wow. A Kumbaya moment in Bob's Type 34 thread. Bob may not be totally worthless after all!

Huh?? :?

I leave you guys alone for a bit...

Are you trying to tell me, on nearly the eve of our 31st wedding anniversary, that I am NOT Bob's one-n-only TRUE love?

Silly Boys!

Sounds more like the notion for a somebody-done-somebody wrong song...

Bartender, another round....

Back to our regular program.
I got my spindles in today, and I've already modified them for the caliper brackets. I also drilled and tapped the mounting holes too. Sorry, no pics, as I was busy working on them. This means hopefully by the end of the week, I'll have them installed, and the brakes will be done on it. 8)

I sense Keith having a stroke soon.

I could only hope.
I got one of those spacers from Chris (flyinglow94), and that made locating everything a snap. I actually moved the caliper bracket to a slightly different position (putting the caliper closer to where the old one would be), and this caused me to have to grind a little more off the bracket (in the thick part to clear the steering arm). However, I did get more material around my bolt holes doing this. I'm using the AC Industries kit on mine (doesn't say empi anywhere on it 8) ). My son loved the rotors, and will probably want to convert the "Pile" after I'm done with mine, as he's always wanted the wide 5's on his Roadster (well it IS a 65). But the spacer that Chris made is worth it (Thanks again Chris). I can't tell you how easy it made the job go. 8) I'll probably take some pics later today, and get Sue to post them up.

Nah, at this point, I kinda doubt that anything Bob does to our beloved T3's would surprise or shock Keith THAT much.

Besides, this IS a "bolt-on" mod., and can undone and returned to OG/OE any time Bob chooses....

Highly unlikely, but still possible.
