Another picture with the carb.

You have Type 3 manifolds... really short.

Look at the picture i posted and you can see the top of the manifold is much higher.

Here's an old pic of a standard Type 1 manifold with a ruler.

Ah yes, you’re right. Meant to say Type 3. I tried every combo of intake, so getting them mixed up.

So the problem was caused by you.

Correct. However, I never said there was a problem with the shroud as you are alluding to, only that “I wish they would make a version that fits type 1 manifolds”, corrected to read type 3.

They made a copy of the OE shroud. It's safe to assume you'd have the same problem with a OE shroud.

For the sake of future readers, here's how dual Dells on CB manifolds work with the Cooled shroud. I love the fit, carbs have enough space to install in the engine bay and when bolted down aren't contacting the shroud at all. The pics make it look like the carbs are closer than they are in reality.

Nice! And a velocity ring like the late model F.I. engines, love it

That’s the plan. Looking forward to it. Hopefully I run into you there.

You can find us in the pits and staging lanes.

Mine is a ZenithBlau 67 with a Beige left rear fender.

I'll likely be running in the pro class this year. My car can run in the 13ings.
So I'll likely get moved over to the right side of the staging lanes. :D
