Oil filter bracket for early bug and Ghia   Price: $28.00 shipped
I have always hated having my oil filter just hanging from one bolt on my bumper bracket, it works but I hated it. It was not solid and could move around. I set out to design a solution. I did the R&D on my dad’s project car, I installed the prototype on my car in a matter of minutes without any plumbing changes. The bracket is designed for early bug bumper brackets (67 and earlier). This bracket is NOT designed to work with American style bumpers with overriders.

****This bracket also fits Ghia's with early style bumpers (pre big bumpers)****

I substituted a dowel pin for one bolt because that bolt would be very hard to get to with the fender on the car. The bracket is made to work with the standard three bolt USA made filter mount/adapters. Filter mount/adapter/fittings etc are not included with the kit. With the kit you get the bracket, all hardware, and two page instruction sheet. The bracket is made in the USA from 6061 aluminum, all the hardware is made from stainless steel.

The mounting height is the same as hanging a standard three bolt filter mount from the 67 and earlier bug bumper bracket bolt. Most people just put a bolt through the upper hole on the filter mount and hang it from the bumper bracket bolt. I say hang because it is not solid and can move. I went with the same height/location so people (myself included) would not have to re plumb to use the bracket

******These are now machined from Billet 6061, Before they were laser cut and I did the finish work (which was a lot of work) now they are made 100% in house and are a much nicer part.*******

These are in stock and ready to ship..........Joe
