Tram, I just got off the phone with my customs guy/broker....I think we can do, say 10 sets of floors in a crate to Miami, we're looking at about $500.00, we still have to get the crate to a place where the floors can be distributed, say a show, like the Classic in June, or type3 invasion in June....this way we are looking at about $70.00 to $80.00 for the cost of shipping per set of floors....if we do 20 sets, that cost will go down a bit.......for the U.S., this is really the only affordable way to do it...for Europe, I am going to have a chat with my mainland Europe distributor and see what we can do there, the shipping will have to be done via consolidated sea freight...same for Australia.....
Bobnotch, yes we are still on for half pans, and sections.....more info to come.... |
What I was thinking is that a bunch of us could go in together on a bulk order, have them shipped to a "point man", and have them shipped within the USA from there. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

I'm going to need a few sets most likely but I have a back operation to pay for first, damn it. In a couple months. Meanwhile, others who need them... we should start planning a bulk order and see if we can get someone in Fla. or in the middle of the country to agree to be "point man". I'd do it but I'm in Oregon, not far from the coast... hardly centrally located. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

If you need a UK point man I've got my hand up...
I'm fairly central (not that anywhere is too far away here..) and don't want to make a cent.
I just want to make this happen and don't need to be paying someone else's mark up on top.
I booked my car into the bodyshop today on the back of getting a set of these pans. This is what we've all been waiting for.
It sounds like you may have 2 firm orders this side of the pond, and I know of at least one more who may be interested.
How many would you need to get the shipping down to say $125 - $150 a set?

Shouldn't there be a rust hole at the rear of that?

That is the right side under the battery that has that rust hole. That is what he is having trouble duplicating, and getting it right.. _________________ Society is like stew. If you don't keep it stirred up, you end up with a lot of scum on the top!--Edward Abbey
