|
|
Hello ,
Does anyone knows if it exists ?
I have an early 55 oval , I 'd like to put it in 12 Voltand have more visible "repetitors without denaturate ( add smtg ) on the car so the solution is to integrate them in my heart lights...
Am I dreaming ?
Thanks for your feedback .

Bonjour Mr. Stephbong..
Okay let me help you out here a weeeeeee bit.. I have already emailed the gentlemen in the thread "LED Tail Lights 56-61" about making the Heart Tail Light LED style indicators.. What he needs, is a donor Heart Tail Light assembly to even begin his design for the LEDs.
He has the capabilities to make them, but due to the fact that the Heart Tail Light Assemblies are rather expensive; its out of his budget to do so. It is easier for him to make the 1956-61 LEDs because he has the vehicle with the tail lights already. So once he did it for himself it was easy to fabricate and duplicate additional assemblies. (Im sure there not that easy to make though, well for average cats like ourselves).
SO! If he doesnt have donors before I get back to the US, I am going to send him one so we can all make this work for our earlier tail light assemblies. Hope this information helps you..Id put it in French, but my France is limited to Bonjou, Au Revoir and Merde Sainte _________________ Valentine, Ray J Sr.

Hi ,
Merde Sainte ? what did you do to have that answer
Thanks for the explanation , I understand that he needs a donor and don't wanna loose time because he don't need them .
I personnaly think ( suppose ) that there is a demand for that , the person who will produce them will certainly have a running business ...
I don't know how difficult it is but I hope somebody will try , why not ?
Best regards
Steph |

Here's just a little teaser, they are coming along slowly, yet surely. This is just the first part of the Heart LED conversion setup. What do you guys think? The five lights along the bottom are brighter at this time. I'm going to try to address this issue though. This is just the first prototype. I've only come up with the array for the flat lens at this point, but I will do the heart as well. With this setup I've incorporated brake and park lights into the flat lens. I could just do park as well. Here you go...
Park light
Brake
Full array

Hello ,
Great ,it's a good begin I'm not a specialist but I think you make a good job !
Be sure I'll order one when it will be complete/right .
One question : "Park light " means left/right signal ?
Keep on good work !

Thanks for the comments guys! I'm very glad that you like them. How do you guy want them to function? I've never had a car with hearts before. From my reading I think that the flat lens acts as the park(or running) light, and the heart lens performs the brake light function. Semaphores do the turning. The way this is setup is so that they will basically function like the snowflakes do, one wire controls the running light circuit, and one wire does the stop(and turn if wired for it with a later switch or trailer light converter). I would have the heart do the brake/turn thing as well. So while cruising with your lights on, you will have just the flat light active, but as soon as you hit the brakes, the heart will light, and the flat will get brighter. When you signal to turn, the heart and the flat will both light. At least that is how it is wired now. If you would like it another way, let me know. I am not yet ready to start taking deposits, there is still a ton of work to do. The arrays are the easy part. Now I just need to figure out how to hold them there. I'll keep you updated.

Hello Chip ,
IMO the running lights are the heart and stop lights are the flat light .
Most important if to have the turns on the flat I think, it will be easier to see by other cars , concerning run+stop it's the easier for you .
You know what we want , thanks to keep us updated
Other opinions ? |

Nice work Chip. I would be interested in a set of these but can I request some personal touches?
Because heart's are so small, I'm looking to have both the running and brake light illuminate at night, get brighter when you brake and both flash when indicating irrespective of whether braking or not.
To achieve this I had planned on keeping the bulb fitting for the heart.
Reason is you can fit a double filament bulb so it's easy to get the running and brake lights and with LED's being directional and the heart facing the sky, I don't think you'd get the heart to light up and be seen with LED's as bright as you would with a modern bulb (I'm running 12v).
Would also prefer the LED pattern to mimic the snowflake design of the 56-61 lights if poss. |

I'd take a set for sure.. Be nice if they worked as the originals, just way brighter.

F-22A, I'm with you 100% - the key for me is as much 'indication' and illumination as possible.
It's not the original configuration, but if you want that then maybe don't change it from the factory.
There's at least a couple of us down here in Australia that would take a set for sure - keep us posted and if you need deposits to get things moving I'm more than happy.
Thanks for your time on this - I'm sure it will be worth your while.

Any progress on these Chip? Was just thinking about them as I'm not too far off the wiring stage on my car.
As Ben says above, happy to send some deposit money if it helps? |
