Decklid prop for VW Bugs. Made from 304 stainless steel. The ends are faced off and chamfered on a lathe, no hack sawed, sheared, or belt sander ends here. High quality made in the USA.
I make two models, one for "W" decklids (57 and earlier) and a "regular" for 58 and later. So let me know when contacting me if you want "regular" or 'W". If you have a vert or a late model decklid with rain catchers a prop will not work.
Because my props are made from stainless there is no rust or pealing scratched paint or pealing rusting cheap chrome etc.
Why a prop? Because you have your decklid on quick release pins and you don't have a spring or some people don't run a spring because it stresses the spring perch and its spot welds will break loose in the long run. I welded mine back on two times before I gave up on the spring.......... Joe

Q. Will a prop work with stand off’s?
A. Yes a prop will work with stand off’s.
Q. Do I have to remove the prop to close the decklid?
A. Yes you have to remove the prop to close the decklid but it is much easier to store the prop in your car compared to a broom stick or jamming a screw driver in you hinge and damaging your decklid.
Q. Will a prop work on my Ghia?
A. No these props are for bugs only.
