I ordered their set of coolant hoses. I unpacked the box to see what was in it and there was a big mass of bubble wrap under the hoses. Why would they bubble wrap a coolant hose. I cut it open and there was the cookie!
Oh yeah, they also sent it out very quickly. The last several orders I have placed I have gotten shipping confirmations the same day _________________ 1987 Westy |

Awesome is Van Cafe... even though I am not far from them (3 hrs) I get stuff next day often... customer service at its best (and great tasting cookies!) _________________ Don't harsh my mellow...

yes their shipping is awesome but...
here's the kicker - you order something and the next day you want to add something else... nope..can't be done... your package is already shipped the same evening... so think hard before putting in your order...
ain't complaining you know.. hehe

They are the SUPREME parts supplier with out a doubt. I have been ordering from them for about 10 years now I believe, and have always had stellar customer service and prompt shipping. As a small business owner myself, i truly appreciate their business practices |

I agree! I live in California and I am always amazed how fast they ship and how pleasant they always are on the phone. Oh, plus they answer the phone! I even called one time and asked to speak to Peter on the phone. He actually picked up and I think he thought I was calling to complain. I told him how much I appreciated the excellent customer service. He was very appreciative! |

I used to like to buy stuff from Riviera VW in Portland OR. One time 25'ish years ago when I was in Virginia and needed some parts that I couldn't find on the east coast anywhere, I called Riviera at almost 8:00 PM eastern time. Riviera said that they had the parts but couldn't get them out that day because of the time, however when I was at work the next day and my wife got hold of me at about 10:00 AM to tell me the parts had arrived.
14 hours door to door, coast to coast is hard to beat. |

I've had nothing but excellent service from van cafe. Great prices, super fast shipping, awsome customer service and a cookie, how could you go wrong with that. |

I'm kinda curious if some of this is a function of how the shipping company works vs the parts supplier. For instance, I'm 2 states away from VC and my last order took 5 days to get here (I did chose whatever the cheapest shipping method was). This is certainly no complaint, I love those guys and order most of my stuff from them. I just don't know if it's fair to blame the supplier for what could be the fault of UPS.
I just ate my cookie with lunch today _________________ '91 Westfalia GL Automatic (GTA "Turbo" Rebuild w/Peloquin) and 2.3L GoWesty Engine |

Just under 500lbs total made it coast to coast in 3 days from another Cali vendor.
No cookies though |

I find this time of year is the fastest for shipping.
all shipping companies are at peak efficiency with holiday workers abound.
even my normal UPS guy has a second 'helper bee' that runs the package to the door. _________________ `20 SQ5
