Last Tuesday afternoon (September 5th) in the afternoon we spotted a nice looking yellow and white camper (didn't look to be a Westfalia) heading west on I-80 around central Nebraska. Didn't get a chance to get a pic.
I was the person in the silver Eurovan heading East waving furiously, as I didn't see it before I even had a chance to blink the headlights or something! _________________ Dave Cook

driving up pacific coast highway (ca 1) i spied this nice white panel in front of me, which i followed into grover beach.
where upon it fulfilled stereotypes by pulling into the local grass dispensary, which used to be joe's buggy haus, my mechanic and parts supplier for decades before joe retired.

Just saw a nice Champaign Edition Westy heading West towards Tsawwassen on Hwy 17. No time to get a pic. It may be the one that was for sale recently as the seller lives in Delta. _________________ *******************************

three in one day!! two on the same street (almost).
first, i am almost embarrassed to post this one. what they’ve done to a fine bus.
then, a patina-rockin’ classic early bay.
and, finally, what might be the most functional custom job i’ve ever seen.
and, just in case you can’t believe your eyes….
i checked. the taps weren’t live at the moment.
left a note in the windshield…..”that’s bus, not truck.” _________________ 1978 Champaign Edition 2 Westfalia

Tom, I'm surprised that you didn't just hook this on to your trailer hitch and take it with you and make it your own.... You'd have to get rid of the painted V on the nose but having a few functional kegs in the back would be pretty cool. _________________ *******************************

One of my sons is visiting family in Kanagawa Japan and came across this VW Shop in Fujisawa. It's called Flower Auto and has a good selection of ACVWs being worked on.

Spotted this parked Bay in someone's front yard a while back.
Looks like it caught fire.
Also Firewood for sale (ironic?)
Check out the wing on top! |
i guess that wing helped them reach fireball speed. _________________ 1978 Champaign Edition 2 Westfalia

Saw this Late Bay Camper in Fort Langley today. Didn't get a close up to see if it was local or from out of town.

was on my way home from a walk to the pacific when i came across this nice orange bus.
expected to see a berlin interior, but it had the sink cabinet behind the driver, and what i assumed to be the ice-box cabinet behind the passenger. a folding table connected the two. _________________ 1978 Champaign Edition 2 Westfalia
