At this stage almost all welding is done, need to grind and clean it up and its raedy to sanblast it partial, want to save as much of the original paint I can to keep the patine of this car.

Here's the car that I bought for my 3 year old daughter. I have 13 more years to enjoy it and am ready to pull the new wiring harness and send it to the upholstery shop. It is gonna sport the origional 36 HP motor that came in the car. Everything will be replaced origional with the exception of the 5 spokes and a select-a-drop. It will be converted to 12 volt still using the same generator that has been rewound and a 12 volt starter with a 6 volt gear.

At this time the brakes are cleaned and rebuild with new bearings.
New schoks at the frontbeam ho did get a sway away in it, rear is lowered by replacing the torsionbars, I know it looks stupid in this stadium but I do not entend to restore the car complete, just do all the neccesairy welding and mechanicly 100% rebuilded and drive it in this condition, just enough to make much fun and have a cool junkyard-look oval standard.

This standard cars with cablebrakes are hard to find this days so its wurth it to save it however it wass verry crusty in the lower sections allround. I'm restoring vintage vw's as my second profesion, my other cars are 48' project and 65' bus.
