This was an interesting experiement. It lands somewhere between baja & street. Or maybe peice of shit? Who knows? I sold it for $750 right after the hood flipped up on the freeway at 75mph.

This was about as far , not counting the motor as I got before selling it. Kids need braces and other stuff. Better to get rid of it then not to be able to work on it.

My chop top beetle, built buy Steve Pierce out of Napa, CA, seen it at the Bug-O-rama last year and just had to have it. Chopped, shaved, bagged, pin stripped, flame throwers, high ball shifter, the works, killer ride. Lays frame and pins the lake pipes to the ground.

I had way to much time and way to few dollars!!! So I went cheap! Spray paint the floor, have the wife make some seat covers and my brother do some cartooning on the door panels, take an old wrench and make a grab handle...etc...

I have been working on this for over 13 years (hey, family and bills come first!) I just got it on the road this summer and have been having a ball. I still need to get windows in it and put the name on the back. The name? Rubber Chicken, ‘cuz it is all for fun and like a rubber chicken, you either “get it” or you don’t!

The ultimate ratrod, if I were to install floors, a transmission, an engine, and right rear quarter panel. I recently acquired this vehicle and am going to document each step of disassembly and cutting it up. Should help those who are curious about removing the body from the pan, etc.
