1965 Porsche 356C Posted: Sun Oct 08, 2017 10:53 am     Views: 468      Rating: Not rated

The engine was built by Jim Ansite, as was the transmission.
The engine is a freshly built 356C unit #P-714560 using Willhoit Restorations 91mm Durabar cylinders and custom pistons bringing displacement to 1925cc. The latest version of the WR heads and WR 41/36 valve kit, a WR 78-8 cam were also used. The distributor and the Weber 40 IDF carbs have been completely rebuilt as well. 911 style oil squirters and a high capacity aluminum oil cooler were installed to provide better oiling and cooling.
Knecht Air cleaners have been modified internally with velocity stacks and a K&N style element. Horsepower and torque exceed 130 hp and 130 ft. lbs
