| Front view after sympathetic restoration. Original speedo from my 6/53 kombi. Part number 29.158-001. Dated 5.53 Original screen-printed face with very minor touch-up and re-pigmented shift indices. Fresh chestnut brown paint on bezel sprayed by Mark Rafferty. Replaced odometer gear and tumbler assembly. New lens and seal. Complete mechanical rebuild and calibration. My aim was to retain the slightly aged look of this speedo, while making it operate as new. Thanks to Corona Ryan at Orange Empire Speedometer who did the restoration. |
