| Big Nut, Small Nut, Straight Axle Gear Ratio Charts. Unknown Transmission? Calculate the gear ratios in your transmission with these charts. Jack up one wheel, spin the engine by hand and count the ratio between engine and tire rotations. Don't forget to multiply by two, since only one wheel will be spinning.
