Just now gettin around to my own build page. Most of it if finished, but I'm gonna post it up in order.

3BT baja. "Built By Brent(3 B's) & Travis.

I picked it up with a wide eye baja kit already on it. The rear apron was still attached. Stock everything except the wheels.

First thing I did besides struggle to get it running was rebuild the front end with ball joints, tie rods and so on.

Then I bought the seats from my cousins 2004 RX8 for a $100. Very comfortable.

At this point, I was ready for my first trial run in a VW. It's was a mild run. Now I'm hooked.

Painted the wheels too.

I still managed to get my self stuck. The 1600 DP was already smokin, but after this outing and mud lake, it was done for. So I rebuilt it with a Scat Hillclimber cam. About that time, I cut the rear apron off and put on a used exhaust I found local. This pic was from later on.

Now it's time for some bumpers. I didn't like the one's for sales. I wanted beter clearance and since I had buggy exhaust I didn't need bumpers stickin way out the back. So Travis and I made made one.

All the while, Travis and I have been practicing body work at the local tech school. Now it's almost time for paint.

I painted them. They were just the gelcoat from the supplier. I painted them flat black to hide the cracks.

Thanks, That was the first run since I painted it. Already has a few scratches, but I don't mind.

Awesome video and great driving skills. I hope to be that graceful/gentle when I get mine on the road. Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming.

Pretty sure. I pulled it home 50 miles after we bent it back by ramming it with a quad and some hammer time. It had a little vibration to it, but it pulled ok. I'm gonna take the drum off to inspect closer this week.

yeah...
that sure looks like a bent spindle to me... I'd think if you bent the wheel itself like that, the welds would have popped...

your baja has come out real nice, I like the orange, which orange is that??

She really looks good! That right front tire reminds me of when I broke the steering arm on my Ghia spindals on my '72. I drove it for about a month like that before I put my thing spindals on.
