Took my 56 for a spin yesterday. Everything works perfect. Just needs a bit of cleaning and detailing and then it's off to Hessisch Oldendorf.
Took me 7 years and a lot of help from you guys...
Thanks to everybody who helped me getting this car back on the road. Especially thanks to The Samba for finding all those rare parts and making new friends!
Here is a list of rare parts that make this car unique:
- 1-piece bumpers with solid bumper guards.
- Golde sliding roof.
- 3-row speaker grill.
- Original Ghia sunvisors.
- Chrome folding shifter.
- Chrome body trim with alluminum inserts.
- Rarest of the rare wind wings.
- NOS Judson
- NOS Judson scoop.
- NOS Judson gauge
- Ghia Bambus parcel tray.
- NOS Lemmerz beauty rings.
- Original restored Rometch steering wheel.
- NOS Petri full circle horn ring.
- Original rubber floor mats.
and the list goes on...
Enjoy the pictures!
Thanks!
Rinie

Rinie's Ghia would have to be the best and most exquisite example of a restored Ghia in the world! |

...no really it is. I know how much hard work you've put into this Rinie and I'm truly in awe of the finished article.
I'm going to have to park my Ghia a long way away from your car at Hessisch.
Congratulations...the bar for Ghia restorations suddenly got very much higher. |
Awesom car Rinie, a shame we couldn't seen it on the 15 Jahre Jubileum of the KGCN.....
I think I'm going to park my car next to John in Hessisch.
