I'm thinking of getting some of these made. They are M4X20 fillister head DIN 85. But the old DIN spec with a domed head

I have these broken ones which i think are the right ones, can anyone confirm these are the right ones? Or if anyone knows a source i would be interested

These are really hard if not impossible to find. I'm an engineer for machinery equipment and have quite an interest in old hardware. To my knowledge these have generally been out of production at least since 1970 if not earlier. German automotive industries changed to Phillips head or even allen head by ca. 1960-65.
sometimes on continental European swapmeets you find NOS packets of this style. I can have an eye on these with exact specifications given.
I don't think that there is any new supply for bold head style metric screws with the threads not going the whole length.
But there might be some other applications like Mercedes or motorcycles of the time, that have these reproduced!?

Very early headlight adjustment screws, like pre '52, have a very similar head,I have heard of these being shortened and modified to M4x 20mm to get pretty close to the original.
What about the washers and nuts...are they anything different?

Went to a place today, they are going to make me some. I'm only going to get a small batch done, as i dont suppose many people would be as interested in bolts as Rockstock is Wink

Going to get them galvanised as per the original ones.

Thanks for the pics Chris.
