I have scene several stock wheels with the offset stamped on it. ET34 ET 41 ET 46.
So what is the offset with the wheel only has a T on it like the photo below.

I'm replying to this post because I also have asked this question before with no reply. So I'm not sure what "T" is but this is what I have surmised ...

15" x 4 1/2J" - 46mm / et, these I have found mostly from Karmann Ghia, Type 4 and Porsche 914

15" x 5 1/2J" - 41mm / et, these are from Porsche 914

The one I have are dated in the early 1970's and marked VW

Well I have measured the ET 34 and ET 46. The one with the "T" is neither. It is in between them. So hmmm. The mystery goes on.

I know it baffles me too on the offset but these wheels with the "T" work great on my Type 3 cars.

gt1953, Went through some 4 1/2j x 15 wheels today and had one that has the "T" and is stamped ET41.

http://vw.zenseeker.net/Wheels-BoltPattern.htm

Also is listed on the above chart as ET41 so, mystery solved on the 4 1/2".
Fits Super Beetle 71-79 & Porsche 914 70-76

'Nut, thank you for posting those really helpful Lemmerz tables. Even though I'm fluent in German and have a good understanding of technical German, I cannot guess what the abbreviations are in column 4- Radausfuehrung- wheel version. The letters are probably an indicator as to the wheel style. Was trying to find a pattern or commonality. For example, a "hubcap" wheel vs an open one of the same width and offset. Or a "Baja Champion" wheel (4.5", ET34) compared to a Sport wheel (the one with the "+" spoke design) on the 1974 Love Bug special edition which was also 4.5" with ET34. "Sp" could either be Sport, or Spezial (special). Porsche 914 had both a hubcap wheel 5.5" with ET40, as well as a Sport steel wheel in the same size and offset. Only one 5.5" is listed. Maybe the other wheel style came from another supplier such as Suedrad or Kronprinz (logo KPZ).
