How do I go about sealing the lower head stud nuts?
I just pulled the motor to fix oil leakage from EVERYWHERE!
I swear I did everything right, I guess not. The gallery plugs leak, they're steel. They told me to use locktite. I used thread locker and not thread sealer. I'm gonna change the flywheel seal, cooler seals, push rod seals, dist seal. I just want to know how to seal the head stud nuts in the valve cover.
I see oil coming from the studs.
What sealer do I use and how do I do it?

I use Ultra Black under the washer's for the heads and use loctite 518 on those oil gally plug's. If every thing is clean when you put it back together you wont be leaking oil anymore.

I have tried everything over the years and have settled on loctite 574 for everything. Prep is everything-clean all prior sealant off and then make sure the area is spotless (rubbing alcohol or brake cleaner then rubbing alcohol work great)-then use the loctite 574-You can use it on everything from the case halves, cylinders, oil pump, main studs, head studs-it won't leak and is easy to apply since it is "liquidy"

The flywheel seal was fine, no leaks but replaced it anyway.
The oil cooler was fine, replaced the seals there too.
The only thing I can think of is the head stud nuts. I cleaned them and sealed them too one at a time. The gallery plugs got new thread sealer too.
It goes back in tomorrow. I sure as hell hope this does it cuz a leaky motor says volumes about the owner/mechanic/knucklehead.
