My Solex 32's are junk. All kinds of hack repairs etc.
Just wanting an easy start good running stock set up. Are people happy with the 6430 Webers?

Solex are Better than Weber!
More of a problem getting the Webers running good!
Have www.Volksbiz.com rebuild your Solex. _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

for less than that, you can get get good Chinese dual 40 IDF copies, with good center pull linkage
I have used ICT's in the past, they were just OK but I do not think the quality is the same as 20 years ago. I've used Dellorto 34 frd's as well, very similar, and they can work well. Again, at the cost you can now get good chinese IDF clones now _________________ Stop dead photo links! Post your photos to The Samba Gallery! |

I just received the CB Dual Weber ICT kit for my 71 Squareback, currently using a CB Weber kit on my 71 Type 1 and my 71 Type 2, and have used dual ICT / ICH Webers on other VW's in the past, for me Solex's are fodder for a swap meet. Now I prefer the CSP linkage over the pull type offered in any kit currently available on this planet. |

I will add that the pull linkage with the CB kit is about the best pull linkage available, but for smoothness, CSP hands down. |

absolutely. vw engines are undercarbed from the get go. and on my fastback they have been wonderful.
this is the 1600, its not pretty , but it was a great engine. came out still running solid, my favorite thing was the weber sound when you got on it _________________ Schnell, SCHNELL!
