It seems to be leaking from above.

that fuel pump placement is problematic.
The phenolic block/spacer likes to get a difficult to see hairline crack leading to all kinds of greasy fun.
Then there's the dump pipe from the base of pump as well, when the diaphragm goes, it will allow gas to discharge through that hose at the base. More mess.
Plus there are gaskets, or maybe not? To set the working depth of the pushrod that works the fuel pump rocker working distance. So much fun. So much mess.
You have some investigating to do. The casting also can rupture partially right at the end of the pump stroke, furthest part away from the crankcase.
Your angle in the image won't show that. Just look at the end of it with decent lighting. Or better yet fire it up & watch/witness where it drips/oozes from.....

I'd be more worried about that alternator wire passing through the tin with no grommet. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.
