NOPE! They need a bunch of work to get them to fit and the trans needs an adapter to mate up to the VW case. Also the trans usually gets modified to match the rev band of the VW. They were sold as complete bikes and kits back in the 60's and 70's.
Here are a few I own, If you want more info on VW powered Motorcycles PM me.
Butterfield
Willis 4's
This is a VW powered bike from Brazil called an AMAZONAS you can hear it run in this video link

The sidecar rig above (a Willis 4's) and the Amazonas in the video below the sidecar rig are both going up for sale most likely next week.
The sidecar motor has only 5 miles on it since being rebuilt as with the new clutch and flywheel.
The Amazonas is also going up for sale next week.
I am keeping the B&B bike. |

I know the post is old but, did the seller have any parts for sale? Im looking for the rear exhaust manifolds for my bike. These were made by Whitson and or Butterfield and I am desperate for a pair. |

hello i to have a 1968 BMW 500 that now has a 1500 single port. I think its a Butterfield. The guy I got it from said he had it for close to 20 years and never had it running. A buddy of mine and myself did the basic stuff like clean the carbs set the points fresh fuel and pull started it with a golfcart. its kick start only and after the initial first time pulling it it useually will start by the second kick. Istill need to clean out the fuel tank due to all the rust in it but in the mean time Iused a 1 gal. gas tank off of my concrete saw. Ido have photos of it and will post if any body would like to see it. thanks |

Do you mean you want to be notified of replies to your thread (or any thread)?
2 options:
1. Click "Watch this topic" at the bottom of a thread and you will get an email when someone posts a reply in that topic.
2. When you are posting, you can also click "Notify me when a reply is posted" - This is a checkbox on the "Post Reply" screen that will do the same thing as #1.
Both of those can be any topic, not just a topic you started _________________ How to Post Photos
