I have a 1969 single cab that the PO installed drop spindles on the front with willwood disc brakes and Fuchs wheels. I like everything but the drop. I just can’t seem to fine stock spindles anywhere. The options for drop spindles seem to be endless. Does anyone have recommendations for spindles with stock height that will work with the disc brakes and wheels? _________________ 69 Single Cab |

i’d probably go for og, meaning contacting the various used-parts suppliers. _________________ 1978 Champaign Edition 2 Westfalia

I just don’t get the fact that every supplier, jbugs, mid america, etc. has endless options for new drop spindles but no option for replacement stock spindles that accept disc brakes. _________________ 69 Single Cab |

Manufacturers produce what they can sell in sufficiently large quantities, what you are asking for is likely seldom asked for. |

I snagged some NOS Brazilian spindles which use king pins still, are disc, though are a 5x112 lug pattern. |

Where did you get those? Would that lug pattern fit the Fuchs? _________________ 69 Single Cab |

I got them from a guy off ebay in Egypt for $260 shipped. Have my old set as a spare now "just in case" I just looked at his parts, but he's out of any type 2 spindles. I saw a guy on the FB Brazilian page listing his service to buy and ship parts from Brazil if you're interested in his contact info. I've bought some items from Brazil and they do have a ton of used stock spindles. It's just going to be a 5x112 lug pattern that uses all late bay bearings, calipers, ect... although I want to say an early split window bearing grease seal. You can still buy the same spindles in the euro market brand new, but they're expensive last I looked. Not sure about your fuches. Aren't 69 buses a 205 pattern? There may be adapter plates from 112 to 205, but I've never looked onto it. |

Fixed! I went the no-cost route and just lowered the rear. Leveled it out perfectly. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. _________________ 69 Single Cab |
