I noticed most of these posts are very old. I do have an UE type1 in the US. Got it from a place in Colorado called Rocky Mountain Motorworks in about 2005. Aquarius blue. They got ten of them and replaced the pans. I would be interested in how many made it to the US. I heard that 70 were confiscated at the boarder and destroyed. People buying them and driving them across.

I have a 2003 on a 1966 tunnel through BeetleMex back in 2003. It was the legal way to do it back then (probably still is).
