Hi
I’m busy rebuilding my king pins and the machine shop will be machining washer/spacers to replace the fibre washes that were originally used.

My question is what the up down play that we need to bring this into spec.

Thanks

The workshop manual suggests using an end play of less than .006" without the seals installed. I have never machined special shims. The factory phenolic washers are often worn, so I will typically use a thin metal shim to bring them back into spec. Quite a bit of time goes into setting this up.

I would consider reading the manual before you continue any further.
