The wiring on our 74 is an absolute mess. Frayed insulation, connectors hanging on by a couple of strands of copper wiring, connected in the wrong places on the fuse panel...it's a horror show.
Today I pulled the dash assembly off to really dive into this project. I would like to know, what are the holes that the arrows are pointed to for? I have the light switch in the hole all the way to the left, and the hazard light switch in the hole on the far right.
I've got the horn working but can't connect the wire in the steering column to the horn pad. The wire has a regular sized spade connector on it, but the male connector on the horn pad is about 1/3 the size of a regular space connector. Is there a smaller connecter that's available?
Thanks for all your help!

Here’s a link to source for the narrow spade terminal connectors:

Hi,
hazard switch (illuminated at night) on the far left is correct;
next to the right is the heated rear window (with green control lamp),
then two black cover plates; otherwise gas heater switch if installed.
The four holes are for the plate which shows the position of the gears.
Look at the 1974 owner´s manual (incorrect glove box open knob):
