Today I took THE 74 THING apart to wire brush the pan and suspension.

Finally putting some wheels and tires on my poor neglected Thing. Didn’t realize how wrong the old ones looked until I stuck a new one on. Yokohama Geolander a/t 215/70/15’s and Mobelwagon wheels. _________________ Kevin |

that fake grass had me take a closer look! Looked just like a ghia I seen recently that the Pan was rusted out and you could see the grass below.
Making headway on mine. hoping to spray the orange paint on it soon... just a little more filler, sanding, primer, sanding yet. disc brake kit box showed up, so after paint I should be just bolting the parts on. |

New fuel pump today.
I'm used to the oil drips in the driveway after the engine heats up and I've been driving around. But the active dripping at idle just after starting... that was new. The old Bosch was leaking from under the crimp  |
