Hagerty and Grundy don’t want to insurance my 2001 Isuzu vehiCROSS. The Grundy lady said it’s an off-road vehicle and we really don’t do that. It will be a limited use car. Any ideas on classic or collector insurance companies? _________________ 1973 standard, yellow, lowered, 3” narrowed front, 1600 blo-thru turbo w/single dell 15.4@86, so far

Who insures your other collector cars?
Hagerty added our 2008 EOS to my existing '66 VW policy...( but I have had that policy for over 20 years) |

Sounds like Grundy doesn't know what you have. They are pretty uncommon. How is it plated? If it has collector/antique plates, that will make most insurance companies happy.
I saw a vehicross on my local FB marketplace...it's still there.. I am tempted! I think they are cool but I also think Corvair Greenbriers are beautiful. If there ever was an Isuzu collector car to be, vehicross should be it!
Good luck,
Jim |

Thanks. It will be plated “historic”. My wife called gieco and added as an extra vehicle. It’s still over $900, but is fully insured. Maybe I’ll try again when it’s 25 years old. It proton yellow, the best color!

My 1970 and 1971 VWs are with Hagerty, and they recently accepted my 1988 Mazda truck. However, they told me that my 1998 Nissan Frontier was not considered a collectible even though 25 years old, but if I wanted to pursue they could try to get an exception made. I decided to retain that Frontier on regular insurance (liability only). _________________ 1970 VW (owned since 1972) and 1971 VW Convertible (owned since 1976), second owner of each.
