Before I start trying prying off the knobs of my original radio in my 77 bay window again.. is this the way to remove the radio?

I am guessing there are thin nuts under the knobs holding the radio in, .. and possible some strap somewhere... and maybe pry off the faceplate?

This is a step to remove my dash....

Thanks!

The knobs should pull off, no need to pry. Thin nuts and a face plate, and likely a support on the back (Front?) under the speaker.
Easy to see that when the glove box liner is out.

Ok, will put harder on the knobs...

There is a single strap that wraps around from top to bottom about center. There is a 10mm nut on the bottom that holds it in place. Careful that old cardboard box may be brittle.

Thanks got it. Thought there would be more to it. The less looking for things that don't exist the better.....
