Interesting taillight assemblies: I've never seen those painted taillight bezels on late lamps (same style as earlies). _________________ Current Fleet:

As I recall they were an afterthought/quick fix to adapt the large tail lights to early style fenders. Not sure which markets got them at the time. _________________ Confusious say it takes it takes two wipes to know you need three, but it takes three wipes to know it only needed two. |

South Africa and possibly Nigeria. They also carried over the five-lug wheels and early headlights for a real mixed bag. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

That's funny, someone was selling "Arthur Fiedler's" beetle on the Boston area craigslist a year or two ago. Low miles and very clean if I remember. I wish I had taken a screenshot of the listing. |

Crazy being taken in the (training ground) car park!
Heighway was unusual as a footballer as he had a degree (Politics & Exonomics)

How times have changed. Not much exotic metal in there. A couple of MK2 Cortinas, a Maxi, and a Beetle is a far cry from what's no doubt parked in there today. |
