Last weekend I visited the Freddyfiles at Ninove. Always a fun meeting to visit The old towncenter was packed with aircooled cars.
The oval won the Ardennen Rennen Choice - Most beautifull oldspeed award at the event. I couldn't be more proud

The judges made a great choice—a very deserving award for all your efforts.

Congrats! You and the car deserved the win!
You did an outstanding job on the details! It shows the level of care and love that you poured into the car. Spectacular! _________________ Jimbo

I've been searching for a suitcase set for a couple of mounths now..
But yesterday I picked these up I've bought them from a lovely couple (88 and 85 years old). They said that they bought them from the VW dealership when they bought their brand new bug in 1964.
I can't find any brand on it. Except from a little airplane. But that could be the brand of the lock.
The set is in mint condition and every suitcase commes with the original key. Very cool
I'm curious what the value is. I'm not going to sell them, but I'm just curious
I think what I've paid was a great deal

Again another accessory ready for my coral oval
I bought a Hella Suchscheinwerfer with a broken glas. A friend made a bracket to mount it on the door hinge. After that I repainted the housing to match the coral red paint and replaced the glas.
Just in time for the European Bug In
Next up is to get it working

Thanks! From ebay, payed €180 for it though
I still need to secure the power supply but that is for after the european bug in. I will need to see how it works because that is a mistery |

I'm not experienced in this subject, but going on my intuition and my own interest and fascination with them, and their condition, I'd estimate they're easily worth U.S. $1,000 or more. _________________ My name's Steve and it's pronounced "Bust 'em" (cuz people think I'm Tom)

Yes! I found out that they were sold by d'Ieteren (Belgian importer for VW) from 1959 until ... ? 2 years ago a NOS set sold for 2000 euro. |
