412 passenger grab handle

I've just recovered the dash in my wife's '73 412 but stupidly didn't reference which way the grab handle is meant to be.one side has shiny portion close to the dash, the other dosen't can someone tell me is the shiny bit up or down ?

Hi Ian,

Take a close look at my photo taken from underneath the dash looking up. Where it meets the dashboard there is a clear/unembossed strip on the bottom side. It is only on the bottom on these handles. Hope this helps.
