|

Thought I had read somewhere that there is a "Body Book" that illustrates all of the sheet metal panels and structural pieces and how they go together.
I vaguely remember it being called the "Body Book"
Does this exist or is my aging memory failing me once again?
I am working on the body shell of my 77 right now and it would be very helpful to see a schematic of the original metal panels and how they were put together. Some of them no longer exist now on mine due to rust so it would be helpful to see what I need and how it all goes back together. |

Thanks, maybe it is the split book that I am thinking of, not sure. Seen the diagrams on Ratwells site. They diagrams are nto bad but not the greatest detail. |

If you wouldn't mind scanning the images, I would really appreciate that.
Thanks |

Yes, that is helpful.
I do have the Provisional Body/Frame workshop manual for a 1968. Anyone know if there are similar manuals for a 77? |

kevhum,
Excellent. Thank you. Those are some of the best illustrations I have seen yet. What manual were they from? |

they are from" Volkswagen transporter owners handbook of maintenance and repair covers all trucks and station wagons" By David Vincent and Prior technical Editors of Clymers Publications. I don't see A publication date in the book. This is the full title and authors if you want to find A copy.I'm sure there are revised additions for Clymer would always revise them.I'm not sure when the revisions stopped.I also have A earlier copy that covers split buses. |

Can you post the pic that has the part names in it? I see the diagram numbers, but no answer key! Thank you !

| Check out the Schofields website. Not a book, but some excellent diagrams for choosing panel, but maybe useful for construction details. The Haynes restoration manual is also very good. Excellent photos, descriptions and drawings of the sorts of sheet metal sandwiches found on buses. |

I have the Bay Window body service book. It has measurements, schematics, and instructions for building jigs to do major replacements. _________________ '67 Beetle L41
