Hi all,
I'm rebuilding a 56 oval window beetle. I'm trying to install new seat covers, but the spring core for the front seat bottoms are in a bad shape. I had them sandblasted and powder coated. Unfortunately, a few springs are broken and more importantly, the cage is distorted. Everything is shifted to the right, on both seats.
I have seen an ad for a set of front seat springs in NOS. But it's in the US and I live in France. This would be perfect but means a rather expensive shipping cost.
Werk34 in Germany sell such spring cores new. Do you think these are a good option?

Any advice appreciated. |

I think it is amazing that someone even makes replacement seat springs for these old cars.
Bummer they do not include the 1955 and older years versions. _________________ 1-0900722 die langsame grüne Schildkröte
