We watch a program named The Repair Shop on tv. They are all crafts people who restore all sorts of things. There is a red camper parked out front or on the side sometimes. I am wondering if that was for a client or if one of the masters owns it and is a member here. Just wanting to know. The work they do is spectacular for those of you who have not seen the show. _________________ "Most people don't know what they're doing, and a lot of them are really good at it." - George Carlin |

we watch it on Prime. If you have an Amazon prime membership, the app on the TV is free. We use Apple TV as our main source of TV but we used to get it also on Comcast before we left Comcast TV. Most new TVs allow you to go to the home page for the TV, and add an app from the Google play store. Prime TV is the app you would add and use your Amazon Prime membership to sign in. _________________ "Most people don't know what they're doing, and a lot of them are really good at it." - George Carlin |

prime is all you need. Search "The Repair Shop." If you enjoy restoration type work, these folks are incredible, and the atmosphere in the shop between people is absolutely wonderful.
I was wondering if one of them owned the red bus that is there occasionally and if they were a member here. _________________ "Most people don't know what they're doing, and a lot of them are really good at it." - George Carlin |

Thatโs a great show, indeed. It gives me hope for humanity when you see young masters of craft , not just old cynical bar-stewards like me. _________________ ๐บ๐ธ ๐บ๐ธ ๐บ๐ธ ๐บ๐ธ ๐บ๐ธ ๐บ๐ธ ๐บ๐ธ ๐ ๐ ๐ |

One of the presenters, Dominic Chinea is a hardened VW enthusiast.
He also makes Ranalagh metalworking wheels and has a great YouTube channel:

He also features a very battered Porsche 356 which he is slowly rebuilding. _________________ Major; 1977 Westfalia Campmobile

Gary - Do you have Amazon Prime? If so go to Amazon Prime Video. The app is usually added thru the play store on the TV or AppleTV+, whatever, and the Amazon Prime account is the login. It is a live program, not a recorded or on demand program. It can't be paused, fast forwarded, recorded etc., but it is almost a loop of many years of seasons.
Prime Video is a streaming video service by Amazon. Prime Video benefits are included with an Amazon Prime membership. With your membership, you can watch hundreds of TV shows and movies on your favorite devices. To get started, visit Amazon.com/primevideo, or download the Prime Video app on your mobile device. _________________ "Most people don't know what they're doing, and a lot of them are really good at it." - George Carlin |

I watch prime all the time. I searched for your show. It came up. All five season and tons of episodes for each season. When I select an episode, any episode, I get the message that itโs not available _________________ Lead Mechanic: San Diego Air and Space Museum

Gary - Go to "LIVE TV" in Prime. The Repair Shop is right under BBC Game Shows in the Menu of Live TV. ONLY the one on Live TV can be viewed. If you select a season and show, you can't watch it that way. You have to watch the episodes as they air, but since they are almost constant, you will have the option of watching those you miss as they re-air over and over.

We've been watching The Repair Shop and indeed there often is a red bay windows bus with a dormobile top, parked outside. |

If you emigrate to Great Britain (remember to leave ALL of your firearms at home!), you can watch The Repair Shop on normal terrestrial TV, along with all the other fantastic British TV programmes.

I think the bus belongs to Jay, one of the presenters.
The location it is filmed in is near my home, one of the preserved buildings at https://www.wealddown.co.uk/
We once tuned up at the museum totally randomly when they were not filming and they let us peek into the "studio".
Its next door to the West Dean College where they still teach blacksmithing for art projects- I did one of their courses, great fun.
