For late production 1967 Beetles, i.e. March in my car's case, are the door hinge screw plugs white or black?

I'm seeing that only 68 and up have white plugs.

My March 67 production beetle has white plugs, but I'm missing lower plugs on both sides and want to make it correct.

The "white" hole caps are actually a clear plastic and usually fade to a light amber / slightly yellow shade after 50+ years. They are the correct choice for your '67. Black is incorrect for 67's, was used on earlier Beetles.

Great information, thank you!
Would you or anyone else know where to source these clear plastic hole caps in NOS condition?

Aftermarket clear plastic caps are readily available through vendors such as Wolfsburg West and West Coast Metric. However, since they'll be repops, the original "VW" and "Knipping" scripts wont be on them. Depends on if you're doing a bone stock restoration or not, if that will matter to you. Otherwise, you might want to check the Samba classifieds for the 'correct' OEM ones for sale. Be aware that not all of these caps are of the same size diameter. Depends on what hole application they're covering... So, know what you will need in advance.

A number of years ago I bought some of these org. German items from this vendor in the Philippines. They have the VW markings on them. Same part number as yours too. I changed all of them at the time so they would all look the same. I bought these around 5 or 10 years ago and it doesn't look like the price has changed.

Thanks I'll try to connect with this vendor and see if they are still available.
