We bought the bus 2 years ago. Just starting to make some improvements. Thought I'd create a build thread to track them. Has been in storage most of that time but hoping to change that. Here's the pic of when we trailered it home.

A lot of areas I could work on but thought I'd start on the areas that are looked at the most and are quick and lower cost fixes. Front end....headlights were dim, and I believe losing the reflective coating so decided to swap them out. Also liked that the led's are low power draw.

I bought my new headlights and led bulbs off ebay. Cheap as I could find. $32 headlights, $13.50 for the bulbs. Got the new rings from jbugs.

Don't need it so it's gone. I figured the little details will help clean it up. Now I gotta find some white plugs to cover the holes up. Maybe someone knows where I can find some?

New wipers and blades. I think these were listed at jbugs for the early70's bus but still fit. Seem to be ok. Not 100% sure I should have got black. Maybe chrome would be nicer. They don't cost much so I didn't think too much about it. Can always replace later.

Sunvisors were dirty, so washed them up and replaced the plastic brackets. One was missing. Tried dish soap. Tried hydrogen peroxide, soaked for a while. They're pretty good now.

Current seat covers are torn in a few places and just plane old. Didn't want to spend $500 on a new set just yet, so sourced some office chair covers from ebay for $15 each. They don't really fit good but they're ok for now.

I didn’t like the all red covers so paid a few extra bucks and got some other el cheapos from eBay. It added a bit more comfort(padding) and fit the seats somewhat better. Once I get the long tapered back rest piece sewed up to shorten the cover it’ll fit much better.
