Have a bus with a running engine. 1600 DP with Kadrons, older rebuild on a single relief engine case with case savers and 10mm studs.

Engine ran fine but took it down to re seal it. Pulled heads to do the push rod tubes seals and decided to check main bearing nuts. They were all below specs and all needed re torqued. I re torqued those main bearing nuts and SEEMS fine but is this something ok to do or is it sign of impending doom and I should not try to just re torque and run this one.

If it were mine I would watch the oil pressure like a hawk and listen carefully for that telltale deep main bearing knock that almost sounds like an exhaust noise somewhere between 3K and 4K RPM. If the oil pressure is good and the engine sounds normal then you are likely fine.
