The pivots on my car are missing the circlips at the top that retain the shaft located to the sleeve. I happen to be in the US and thought I’d pop into an Ace Hardware and see if they have some thing that works. Can someone tell me the dia I should look for?
Thanks,

I checked 2 old 6 V single-speed wiper assemblies I have in the basement. Shaft diameter ranges from 5.9 to 6.1 mm (0.23" - 0.24"). A circlip for 1/4" (0.25") might be slightly too big, and bending a clip made of spring steel is probably useless. You could buy a few 1/4" to try bending once you're home, but also buy a pair of 1 size smaller, since its unlikely that ACE would have metric sized circlips. |
