So, I want to convert my fuel hoses to AN fittings.
I have dual EMPI HPMX 40’s on my bug.

I think I would need AN6 fittings, but want to make sure before ordering

AN6 will be good. -4 are a pain to assemble.

I used AN4s. Gates vapor guard fuel hose. Get the end of the hose real warm. Push the fitting end on the hose quickly using a towel to protect yourself from the heat.

I used boiling water. Not difficult at all.

Never have fuel volume trouble either.

FWIW

I'm currently in the process of doing it on mine too, I used -6.

What I am mainly concerned about with mine is the fittings on the carbs, as I don't have threaded fuel inlets, they are press in brass fittings.

Recently bought a pair of quality stainless hose shears. Wish I would have done that 30 years ago.

As long as uoi use a qualitÿ fitting and insrall it well, tgere is no problems using a compressuon fitting for your AN adapter. I had to use them a couple of times and have nevrr had a leak.
