Used the industrial parts washer at work to wash off the 60 plus years of oil and gunk. Came out pretty clean. Definitely looks like someone's been into it at some point. The safety wired ring gear bolts were all loose and the wire job they did looks hokey, they reused the fold over locks too. Preload nut was loose

Little wear on the reverse gear, kinda expected with the age and whatnot

Saw a rotisserie pop up on marketplace messaged about it and it sold. Took to long to decide if I really needed it. Then another one came up and I managed to get it atleast. Some of the homemade ones I've seen look great. But as you can see, the bus isn't in a shop with a concrete floor and all the room to rotate side to side, so I think it well be a great asset to have. No one likes overhead welding especially outside on the ground haha

I know Crukab Tom used his rotisserie to rotate his SC 90 degrees so he could stand up and weld the floor. Beats crawling into the treasure chest any day.

Sometimes it pays to be a hoarder haha, found that random scrap metal couple years ago. Figured I'd use it for something didn't think it'd be for mounting a bus to a rotisserie

Front beam bolts came out way easier than I expected. Especially considering how rusty this old gal is

Yeah I crawled in there to cut out the old floor and didn't love it. I'm sure welding would be much less enjoyable haha

Made some progress with it, came across some old school fog lights that should suit it pretty well. Plus an old 1/2 drive hazet ratchet to add to the collection of hazet tools.

Definitely a little sketchy at first but it's surprisingly quite stable especially considering its just on dirt outside haha. Should make cutting and welding in new metal much more enjoyable and better than overhead for all of it

New floor for the treasure chest showed up. Technically for a bus so I'll need to do slight modifications but it will be much better than what I started off with. Pretty hard to beat the free shipping from cip1 and not like there's a ton of options to buy directly in Canada either
