Lots of 4x4 ideas. As you might imagine, there is literally an endless number options. Happy to brainstorm with you. I'll PM you with my contact info. There's gnarly routes, there's big elevation gain routes, there's a thousand miles of easy dirt roading.
This place is a cool daytrip : "Log Cabin Mine" just outside of Lee Vining (base of Tioga Pass Road, which leads into Yosemite). - probably an hour of good elevation gain on a modest jeep road, but definitely 4x4 at times, I think our Syncros should be able to make it (couple of steep, sorta washed out spots where granny gear will be a must). I've been there in my FJ.

Cool stuff around Mono Lake, like wild horses, crazy geological features, lumber mills from the 1900's...

This is Fall Colors season, and should gorgeous, so being near creeks and lakes to get the aspens (June Lake Loop/Silver Lake/Lundy Lake/Green Lake, and many others)

Again, a million options, but also check out Green Lake / Green Creek Rd area (Off of Hwy 395 just south of Bridgeport / north of the Bodie turnoff), lots of options.

Killer hilltop camping spots where we could fit a dozen syncros totally off the beaten track near the south end of Dunderberg Meadow Rd.
Bodie, Masonic, Aurora mines are fun to explore.
A good spot to gather/camp on the first night is Glass Creek Campground, because it's right off Hwy 395 just north of Mammoth making it easy to find everyone when folks are showing up at different times. It's a forested primitive spot large enough for the group, with fire pits, and running creek. Oh, and it's free! Lot's of dirt roading right from there.
Another fun place to overnight is at Benton Hotsprings, kind of a treat with natural hot tubs at your doorstep, some may want to do that on the last night.
