Recently purchased a second Westy. 1989 with an AHU turbo-diesel conversion. It was mostly built a couple of owners back. The fella I bought it from thought the original builder (and van) had been quite active in this forum. I'm hoping there may be some history of the build preserved here.
Thanks

nope, but man that's alot on the nose..
I mighta tried to put the spare behind the bullbar...
though it's entirely unnecessary to hang that out there on a 2wd... just use a suitable spare in the clamshell. (to the 'builder' not the OP here). _________________

I'd imagine the spare tire may interfere with the radiator cooling. |

That nose IS seriously homely, to be sure, and it won't be staying that way. I am, however, taking a long trip through moose/caribou/elk country this summer, so I'll leave it in place until after I'm home. |

The demise of photobucket really stripped a lot of older threads of any images that would help ID it.
The bumper looks familiar but the tubular part with the spare tire, not so much. |
