Looking for ideas here, pics are welcomed.

Has anyone ever fabricated a removable license plate mounting bracket for their beetle? I wanna ride with my decklid off, but I don’t want the hassle of having to unbolt the license plate frame from the decklid. Any ideas on how to fabricate something that will slide into the louvers underneath in the engine compartment or a nut/bolt idea? I know I can use wing nuts on the backside of the bracket when it is mounted onto the deck lid to make removing easy. I’ve used zip ties in the past and that always worked, but it required cutting the zip ties and having to revolt it to the frame.

I’m trying to stay away from fabricating a bracket/stand that mounts to the bumper bracket and his positioned over the bumper area so I can use an additional plate light mounted to the removable frame.

use magnets on a frame that has a light made on it. Use LEDs and maybe power the light with batteries.
