I have a Jackery 1000, and looking to add portable solar panels, but not sure if either one of these can be stored between the upper bed and the pop up top when traveling.
Dimensions:
Saga 100: 24.21” long x 21.73” wide x 1.38” thick when folded
Saga 200: same length and width x 1. 57” thick when folded
Anyone have either of these? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks, Bob

Which Eurovan are you asking about? Your tag line shows a bus but no EV.

The reason I ask is because I have a weekender and putting something 1.5" up there will start to compress the cushions. That might be fine for these panels, depending on how rugged they are and how comfortable you are pulling down the top on them.

Bigfoot, thanks for pointing out that I have not changed our herd! We only have our 64 vert, and now our (new to us) 2002 EV weekender. Sold both the 63 vert and 76 Westfalia. My concern is exactly what you stated. One and a half inches does not sound like much, but I am researching whether it is feasible or not. Might have to go the route of an inverter to charge instead. Bob

It looks like you might be able to just fold the 200 in half, rather than all bundled up as intended. That would probably be thinner. Doesn't jackery have car charging? It would be shame to have an inverter just to charge the jackery.

The measurements were folded in half. I spent this afternoon taking measurements of where I could put the 200 folded up behind the back seat , or under the rear seat on top of our suitcases, and either spot would work. Then, I dropped the inside cover of the tailgate to research why the automatic lock makes noise, but does not work. Did a temporary repair, and going to post my
“Situation” for advice on what is “missing “ or broken. Checked several of your threads, OMG you are brave, and talented! Bob

We have a 100 watt Renogy folding solar panel for our 2002. It is substantial, thick, very heavy......and does work well. But it is *so* heavy and hard to store while traveling. I bought it for cheap to see if the technology would work for us. And it does.
In our Amazon cart is a lightweight folding 150 watt panel. Far easier to handle, store and hoist up on the roof. And much lighter.
When it arrives the Renogy will be for sale.

After a LOT of comparisons, decided on the Saga 200. It really takes up a meager amount of space. It is quite well made, and probably don’t need a case, but I am shopping for one…. As my puppy Buddy likes to chew on anything and everything new!
