Plenty of satire on this Beetle. Is ol' Goetz just getting mooned, or crapped on?
The other door has a character thumbing his nose at the other figure. "DN" lic. plate is for the city of Dueren, in the west of Germany between Cologne and Aachen near the Holland border. Engine lid "ADE" is the German pronunciation/adaptation for the French "adieu", meaning "see you again". It is a common departure salutation in south-western Germany. |

| There's a military airfield in Nörvenich near Düren. I think the owner of this VW just completed his mandatory military service and is celebrating his discharge. |

...and back to his hometown Hannover I guess...
Even we say " Addy" over here near Maastricht the Netherlands.(about the same dialect)
